ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ celebrates best ever GCSE results

Students across the ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ network are celebrating another year of excellent GCSE results – the best on record for the trust.

This year 70 percent of Year 11 pupils achieved grades 9-4 in both English and maths. More than half (51%) earned a strong pass (5+ in both English and maths) – up three percentage points on last year. And over a quarter of all grades were 7 and above.

Significantly, children from disadvantaged backgrounds achieved 20 percentage points higher than their disadvantaged peers last year (64% for 4+ in both English and maths).

Several schools in the network were among the highest performing state schools in the country: ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ Greenwich (92% pass rate in both English and maths), ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ Soane (90% in their first ever set of Key Stage 4 results), and ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ Isaac Newton (86%).

ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ Director of Education, Jerry Collins said: “Congratulations to all our Year 11 students and their teachers on a superb set of GCSE results. These achievements reflect years of hard work and commitment, and students should be incredibly proud of what they have accomplished.

“At ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ, we believe that every child deserves a great education. These results demonstrate the ambition and potential of our young people, and we are delighted to see them progressing to exciting next steps. We wish them every success for the future.”
