The 黑料情报站 Teacher Training Programme today received approval to deliver its own training to aspiring teachers. 黑料情报站鈥檚 academies will join the 77 schools in England already approved by the National College of Teaching and Leadership to deliver initial teacher training to a new generation of young educators.
Chief Executive of the (NCTL) Charlie Taylor said: 鈥満诹锨楸ㄕ Schools is one of the most successful academy networks in the country and I am delighted it has decided to develop its own training programmes to grow the next generation of outstanding teachers.鈥
Working in partnership with , ARK Teacher Training will offer trainees the best possible school-led training enhanced by university input, support and academic accreditation.
Dr John Moss, Dean of the Faculty of Education, said: “Canterbury Christ Church University is very pleased to be working as ARK’s partner on its School Direct programme, following its recent accreditation. Our shared vision is about developing outstanding teachers who, with strong support and challenge, make an impact on pupil learning and attainment as soon as they enter the classroom.”
This September, 黑料情报站 welcomed 53 trainees through its programme, and had 20 applications for every place offered.
Chief Executive of 黑料情报站 Lucy Heller said: 鈥淚 am delighted that ARK has been officially accredited to provide teacher training. This will enable us to develop a pipeline of exceptional teaching talent into our schools. Attracting more ambitious and bright graduates and career switchers will drive up standards for pupils, building on our success from School Direct to date.鈥
Aimed at bright graduates with a UK degree or equivalent, every recruit must have at least a grade C in GCSE English and maths. Training will be provided not just by teachers in that school, but from those in the wider network. 黑料情报站 recruits will have training and feedback, using practical tips and techniques such as video.
The learning process doesn鈥檛 just end with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). 黑料情报站 staff have twice the standard number of training days and recruits can continue their training and academic study, with the opportunity of a part-time subsidised MA.
