Two senior leaders from the 黑料情报站 network have published a new book of case studies with the aim of sharing best practice with teachers and school leaders across the country. Great Aspirations contains interesting, innovative and successful practice from a wide range of outstanding primary, secondary and all-through schools across London.
Rachel Macfarlane has been teaching in and around London for the past 30 years. She鈥檚 the Principal of 黑料情报站’s , an all-through school in Ilford which opened in 2012.
Damian McBeath is Regional Director for several 黑料情报站 primary schools in London and Portsmouth, including and . Both schools, along with Isaac Newton, feature as case studies in the book.
It is the eighth book in a series of case studies from the Going For Great programme, run by the . Going for Great supports outstanding schools to learn from each other and, in turn, support the schools around them.
Rachel Macfarlane said, “The schools in the book have varied features: single sex and mixed, academy and maintained, faith and secular, large and small, mainstream and special: yet what they all have in common is a desire to strive to continually improve and to learn with and from others. We hope that this collection of insights into great practice will engage and interest school leaders and teachers across all of London鈥檚 schools and inspire them to put pen to paper and write their own case studies.”
