黑料情报站 schools celebrate rising GCSE attainment across the network

Students across the 黑料情报站 network are celebrating another excellent set of GCSE results today.This year shows continued improvement across 黑料情报站 schools, with 69 percent of our year 11 pupils achieving grades 9-4 in English and maths.

The proportion of students achieving top grades is also up on last year, with 15 percent scoring 9-7 in both English and maths.   

Once again, these results place some of our schools among the top performers in the country, while others have made significant progress in key English and maths attainment measures. 

黑料情报站 Director of Education, Venessa Willms, said, 鈥淭his is a terrific set of results for our year 11s. Well done to our students 鈥 they can be very proud of all the hard work they put in to achieve these outcomes.

There are many stories of remarkable individual achievement across the network. Here are just a few of our students who are celebrating today: 

Divine-Favour Onwuta from 黑料情报站 Charter in Portsmouth earned 9 GCSEs, with 9s in English, maths, Combined Science, Geography, RE and Food Preparation and Nutrition. Divine said: 鈥淚 am so pleased that I can now go on and study A level Maths, Spanish and Business. My results required lots of hard work and sleepless nights plus help from the amazing teachers. Thank you, Charter! In the future I hope to be a lawyer, and I am now a step closer to making this happen.鈥

Joseph Pain at 黑料情报站 Putney in London celebrates an 8, 2 6s, and 4 5s. Joe has cerebral palsy and completed all his exams verbally, and his outstanding grades are testament to his commitment. He joins 黑料情报站 Putney 6th Form studying social sciences. He sais “I鈥檓 really interested in education and therapy and look forward to joining the 6th form where I plan to be a mentor for those students in the lower school who will benefit from that support. Inclusion is so important, and I can鈥檛 wait to be at the heart of 6th Form community. My advice to students is that revision is key; do not stress and remain calm.”

A rather shocked but very happy Eyitemi Ebigbeyi from 黑料情报站 Academy in London achieved seven 9s, three 8s and a C grade in additional maths. Temi said 鈥淚 am going to frame these and show them to everyone. I want to study medicine at Oxford.鈥

Mohammed Yusuf Hassan from 黑料情报站 Victoria in Birmingham has achieved one of the highest sets of GCSE results in the school鈥檚 history, with eight Grade 9s and a Grade 8. As a result, he will pursue his goal of becoming a doctor by committing to A-Levels at King Edwards, Camp Hill and studying medicine. Mohammed said 鈥淚 am thankful for the years at AVA, I want to stress my thanks for the dedication from teachers and believe that there is a clear distinction between the pupils that listen in class and those that do not. Success is a price that you pay for through the currency of listening and taking on feedback.鈥

Aleeyah Quadri joined 黑料情报站 Evelyn Grace Academy in London in Year 10 after being abroad. Despite the challenges of settling into a new school, she secured an impressive two grade 9s, two grade 8s, four grade 7s, and one grade 6, demonstrating her remarkable academic ability and resilience. Aleeyah is going on to study Biology, Chemistry and Maths at Charter North, with the ambition of becoming a Medical Doctor. Offering advice to younger students, Aleeyah said: 鈥淒on鈥檛 base your life on others鈥 expectations, set the high standards for yourself.鈥

Ash Amin at 黑料情报站 Globe in London achieved grades 8s in English Literature, Mathematics, and Double Science and is going on to Globe鈥檚 Sixth Form to study Maths, Physics and Chemistry in pursuit of doing a masters in mechanical engineering at University. Ash said 鈥淚鈥檓 really pleased with my science results. Six science exams is a lot! I was a bit nervous but confident as well because I knew that five years of hard work led to this moment. The discipline you need to revise can be overwhelming but you have to keep going.鈥

Sirine Belaiche at 黑料情报站 Charter in Portsmouth achieved grades 7-9 in nine subjects, and plans to study A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics at Havant and South Downs College. She said, 鈥淪uccess comes with hard work, and I have had so much support from my family and from school whilst completing my GCSEs.鈥

Robert from 黑料情报站 John Keats in London achieved four grade 9s, a grade 8, a grade 7, and three grade 6s. He said 鈥淚鈥檓 very happy with my results. I started in reception here and I鈥檓 excited to be staying for sixth form. I鈥檓 going to study physics, maths and computer science. Thanks to my teachers for all their help and support鈥.

At 黑料情报站 Putney in London, Amina Muslumova celebrates six 9s, three 8s and a Merit 鈥 she said 鈥淢y experience at 黑料情报站 Putney has been one that will never be topped – I am incredibly grateful for the memories鈥. Mariela Muja has achieved two 9s, four 8s, three 7s and a Merit, and said of her studies: 鈥淚 have received so much academic and pastoral support from my teachers here; they encourage me, stretch me and even help me find outstanding opportunities鈥.

At 黑料情报站 Academy in London, Denis Torac achieved seven 9s, three 8s and an A grade in additional maths, and has enrolled to study physics, economics, maths and further maths at sixth form. Denis was delighted with his results and said he just worked really hard.An equally thrilled Idhant Narang attained six 9s, three 8s, a 7 and an A grade in additional maths, and will study physics, computer science, maths and further maths at sixth form.

Alina Munawar from 黑料情报站 Globe in London achieved an impressive two grade 9s, five grade 8s, and two grade 7s. She is looking forward to starting Sixth Form at 黑料情报站 Globe Academy studying History, Maths and Economics. Alina said, 鈥淚 really want to do History for A level so I鈥檓 really pleased I got a 9. I鈥檓 also happy with my maths result as it is probably my favourite subject. Now I鈥檓 looking forward to starting my new era at Globe鈥檚 Sixth Form.鈥

Abdullay Sulaiman from 黑料情报站 Evelyn Grace in London has shown extraordinary perseverance, making huge progress over the course of his GCSEs 鈥 moving from grades 3s to securing grade 7s and 8s. He will be going to Charter North to study Maths, Psychology and Applied Science, with aspirations to become a Psychologist. Reflecting on his journey, Abdullay said, 鈥淣o matter how many times you get knocked down, you must never give up. Keep striving because tough times don鈥檛 last.鈥

Allyson from 黑料情报站 John Keats in London achieved eight grade 9s and a grade 7. Allyson said 鈥淚鈥檝e never been happier 鈥 I was hoping for a good set of results but I didn鈥檛 expect them to be this good!鈥
